Welcome to Wood Ley Community Primary School!

We aim to offer high standards of education and care, in a secure and stimulating environment with excellent facilities. We are an enthusiastic and dedicated professional team who are committed to giving your child the best introduction to their education.

The early years of education are a vital time for your child. We ensure that basic skills and knowledge in reading, writing, numeracy and investigating the world around us are developed to the fullest extreme. Our ethos is also to provide wider opportunities for the children through extra curricula activities planned throughout the school year. We are recognised by the Local Authority as an Extended School.

Within our school community we have a caring family atmosphere and we believe in a culture of achievement in which all children behave and work towards reaching the highest standards possible. We provide support when extra help is needed and celebrate and share the successes our children achieve.

During 2005 we celebrated the Investors in People accreditation for the second time. In the same year we were awarded the Quality Mark from the Basic Skills Council. We were especially pleased to receive this award, as we are one of the first three Primary schools in Suffolk to receive this nationally recognised status.
